Our ribbons are made from recycled silk saris in Northern India. The saris are dyed, cut into strips, and then stitched together (and sometimes tied), to form one continuous length. They make for beautiful gift wrapping, flower arranging, weddings, or anything you can think of that is in need of a bow! The edges of the ribbon are raw, and due to the nature of the silk coming from lots of different garments, the colours can slightly vary within each ball. But for us this only adds to the story. For a wider finish, you can also iron the silk flat.
With all our ribbons, due to the process of recycling fabrics, there is variation in colours. Our winter blue ribbon shows this perfectly and allows for lots of gorgeous tones to come through in one ball.
The ribbons are sold individually in balls, all approximately 25 metres in length.
